This was originally published in 1989 by Tor Books. The trilogy comprises an epic adventure quest set in the usual sort of fantasy kingdom with disputed rulership, long lost heirs, and a dangerous magical artifact which may be the key to restoring or destroying the land.

This installment starts off the quest as the titular Glass Warrior, who has the magical artifact in her possession and must now go in search of the fabled lost heirs, while avoiding the forces of the rival claimants who would put a stop to her task.

A Plague in Paradise by Robert E. Vardeman, a 1972 Hugo Award finalist for Best Fan Writer, in addition to being an author in his own right, is the 3rd novel in his Masters of Space trilogy of science fiction space adventure thrillers, free for a limited time courtesy of publisher Endeavour Press’ Venture imprint.

This was originally published in 1987 by Avon. The series is written in the vein of old school pulp space adventures such as by E. E. Smith (creator of the Lensman series which inspired DC Comics’ Green Lantern Corps), and stars a man on the run after having been framed for thwarting a nefarious plan, and the wealthy socialite who aids and abets him.

This finale wraps up the story with previous plot points coming to a head, as a lingering part of the nefarious plan which involves unleashing a devastating virus that could destroy all alien life, and the complication of a robotics master assassin on their trail, need to be thwarted, too.

The science fiction story explores themes of human settlement and adaptation, centred around a man whose job it is to terraform a distant planet into a paradise for a religious cult, and finds himself becoming an object of worship in the ensuing colony, as the Creator of their new Eden.

This story follows the aftermath of two such restoration quests, which have yielded a corrupted king and then his potential replacement twin, who seems to be a suitable queen but whose beginning reign is plagued by treachery and civil war from her ousted brother-king’s faction, leading to the third and final quest for the aid of a legendary wizard to help save the realm.
