[Free eBook] Privileged Lives by Edward Stewart [High Society Crime Thriller]

Privileged Lives by Edward Stewart is the 1st novel in his Vince Cardozo Mysteries series of mystery/crime thrillers, free for a limited time courtesy of publisher Open Road Media.

This was originally published in 1988 by Delacorte Press and was a bestseller at the time. Though the series is described as police procedural, I’ve actuallly read this one a long time ago, and would place it closer in tone to a Hollywood-style blockbuster sort of thriller with plenty of sensationalism and supposedly shocking sex content and not so much detective legwork.

The story involves an NYPD cop investigating a kinky-looking murder which may be tied to the recent awakening of a high society heiress from a years-long coma, with whom he finds himself getting too involved. Offered in the US only through June 2nd, available at multiple retailers.
