This was originally published in 1950 by Scion using the pseudonym Mick McCoy was later reprinted by both Robert Hale’s Black Horse Western and Ulverscroft’s Linford Western Library lines.

The story stars a wandering gambler left for dead in the desert, who decides to make a new life in the titular town run by the obligatory petty tyrants, whose beleaguered but welcoming locals begin to look up to the once-loner stranger who becomes embroiled deeper into their deadly affairs.

Lunar Vengeance: A Collection of Science Fiction Stories by the late British author John Russell Fearn, edited by British author Philip Harbottle, is a collection of his vintage golden age science fiction stories, free for a limited time courtesy of publisher Endeavour Press’ Venture imprint.

This new collection reprints six tales from the 1940s-1950s, apparently with a theme of exploring civilization (or the lack of it) on various settlements within our solar system, and includes a brief introduction to the author and his works by science fiction author and editor Philip Harbottle.

The title story was originally published in Amazing Stories magazine in 1943 under the pseudonym Thornton Ayre, and the other stories also appeared credited as by Vargo Statten, Mark Denholm, Volsted Gridban, as well as Fearn’s own name (mostly during reprints and translations).

Waters of Eternity by the late British author John Russell Fearn, edited by British author Philip Harbottle, is his mini-collection of vintage Golden Age science fiction novellas, free for a limited time courtesy of publisher Endeavour Press’ Venture imprint.

This collection contains three novellas, apparently with themes of exploring strange new changed worlds both on future Earth and in space, reprinted for the first time in decades with a brief new introduction about the author and his works.

The stories were originally published in assorted magazines under the following pseudonyms: as Mark Denholm, “Waters of Eternity” from 1953 in Worlds of the Universe, and as Thornton Ayre, “World Without Women” from 1939 in Amazing Stories and “The World in Wilderness” from 1941 in Science Fiction.

The Multillionth Chance by the late British author John Russell Fearn, edited by Philip Harbottle, is a collection of two vintage science fiction novellas, free again for a limited time courtesy of publisher Endeavour Press’ Venture imprint.

The titular novella was originally published in 1946 in Thrilling Wonder Stories magazine, and the second novella, The Last Secret Weapon, originally appeared in 1941 in Marvel Stories magazine using the pseudonym Polton Cross. Both stories appear to deal with themes of unusual scientific discovery leading to potential war.

[Free eBook] The Golden Amazon by John Russell Fearn [Vintage Pulp Science Fiction]

The Golden Amazon by the late British author John Russell Fearn is the 1st novel in his long-running Golden Amazon series of vintage pulp science fiction adventures, free for a limited time courtesy of publisher Endeavour Press’ Venture imprint.

This was originally published in 1944 by World’s Work and and later reprinted over the decades by Harlequin and Gryphon Books’ SF Rediscovery line. The series, which was very popular during the 1950s and 60s and ran to 21 original novels which were serialized in The Toronto Star Weekly and several posthumous ones as well, stars a scientifically-created superwoman with a greatly enhanced intellect and physical abilities, who was initially morally ambiguous.

This tale gives her obligatory origin story, wherein a scientist starts creating her as a reaction to the terrible cost of World War II, seeking to craft the perfect person to rule the world, who may wind up being too detached from humanity to use her power for its ultimate good.

The Man Who Sold the Earth by the late British author John Russell Fearn, edited by British author Philip Harbottle, is a collection of his vintage science fiction short stories, free for a limited time courtesy of publisher Endeavour Press’ Venture imprint.

These were mostly originally published during the 1940s in various genre magazines, but a few are posthumous collaborations by other authors with his estate, which appeared from the 1970s onwards.

This collection has a new introduction by editor Harbottle, and contains seven stories which mostly explore themes of space or dimensional travel.

The story stars a rancher, whose land were set on fire by a stray locomotive spark which the railway company won’t compensation for, fighting to clear his name after finding himself framed by the company head for railway-related robbery and murder.

The Golden Amazon’s Triumph by the late British author John Russell Fearn is the 3rd novel in his long-running Golden Amazon series of vintage science fiction adventures, free for a limited time courtesy of publisher Endeavour Press’ Venture imprint.

This was originally published in 1953 by World’s Work as part of their The Master Science Fiction Series line. The series, which had its origins in pulp novelettes released under the pseudonym Thornton Ayre, was very popular during the 1950s and 60s and ran to 21 original novels which were serialized in The Toronto Star Weekly and several posthumous ones as well, stars a scientifically-created superwoman with a greatly enhanced intellect and physical abilities, who was initially morally ambiguous.

This story finds her commissioned to figure out who is spying upon the dealings of an interplanetary shipping company, and uncovering the lingering scheme of an embittered former V-rocket scientist who has apparently laid a terrible revenge plan using the capabilities of his invention.
