This was originally published in 1964 by John Spencer under the title The Trail Blazers using the pseudonym Chuck Adams and was later reprinted by Robert Hale as part of their Black Horse Western line.

The story makes use of the historical setting of proto-Texas back when it was still the Mexican territory of Tejas, starring a man accompanying a group of illegal American settlers, who gets caught up in the fight for territorial control.

The Gold Seekers by the late British author E. C. Tubb, perhaps best known for his long-running science fiction Dumarest Saga, is a standalone vintage western historical action adventure novel, free for a limited time courtesy of publisher Endeavour Press’ Frontier imprint.

This was originally published in 1955 by John Spencer under the title Fighting Fury using the pseudonym Paul Schofield, and was later reprinted by Robert Hale as part of their Black Horse Western line.

The story takes place during the California gold rush, starring a former Civil War captain facing challenges as he guards a wagon train through the dangers of the journey west even as he develops a rivalry with the wagon boss.
