My Lady Queen by John Cleve, pseudonym for the late Andrew J. Offutt, a prolific American sf/fantasy author who also moonlighted by writing erotica, is the 4th novel in the The Crusader series of medieval historical f/m erotica adventure romps, free for a limited time courtesy of publisher Endeavour Press.
This was originally published in 1975 by Dell Grove. The series is set during the late 12th century’s Third Crusade under the leadership of Richard the Lionheart, starring a young man who rises from humble peasant origins to becoming a warrior, with plenty of exciting battles and erotic encounters along the way. At the time of writing (circa the early 1970s-80s), the sex scenes were racier than what was generally available, though would probably be considered tame today.
This installment takes him to the city of Tyre on the Mediterranean coast of what is now Lebanon, which is under threat of siege again, as he is caught in the wiles of a beautiful and vicious Frankish noblewoman and must seduce Saracen secrets from a lady spy. NB: due to the wartime setting, there are apparently also occasional scenes of sexual violence some readers may find disturbing.
