The story takes place during the 1730s in Georgian England, starring Thomas Chippendale, an apprentice carpenter of humble background who will eventually become the founder of the famous Chippendale furniture family, and the gentle young noblewoman with whom he forms a tender attachment that can never be truly realized, even as they both search for love as their lives continue to intertwine.
