The Blackhouse by Scottish expat France-resident author Peter May is the 1st novel in his Lewis Trilogy of police procedural mystery/crime thrillers, free for a limited time courtesy of publisher Quercus’ Riverrun imprint.
This novel was originally translated into French for its initial release and won two French literature prizes, the Prix des Lecteurs at Le Havre, a festival prize, and the national Cezam Prix Littéraire Inter CE, and also won the US’ Barry Award for Crime Novel of the Year upon English publication.
