[Free eBook] American Assassin by Vince Flynn [Film-Adapted Espionage Action Thriller]

American Assassin by the late Vince Flynn is the 11th novel in the Mitch Rapp series of political espionage action thrillers, free for a limited time courtesy of publisher Simon & Schuster UK.

This is the featured Free Book of the Week in the iTunes UK store. The series stars an undercover CIA counter-terrorism agent working to thwart attacks upon the US, and is being adapted into a series of films, the first of which came out in 2017, based on this novel and starring Dylan O’Brien.

The story is apparently a prequel flashback to the main character’s 1980s-era recruitment into the agency from his student days at University, and his first assignment in Istanbul, amidst the period tensions with the Middle East.
