[Free eBook] Forest Wars by Graham Diamond [Fantasy]

Forest Wars by British author Graham Diamond is probably a sidequel to his Adventures of the Empire Princess quartet of adventure fantasy, free for a limited time courtesy of publisher Endeavour Press’ Venture imprint.

This was originally published in 1995 by Lion Books, which appears to have been the author’s self-publishing imprint, and is an alternate take on the author’s previous novel The Haven, originally published by Playboy Press (who occasionally printed “serious” non-erotic genre books) in 1977.

The story takes place in a forest sanctuary where humans and intelligent animals co-exist. It appears to be part of the same world as the author’s Adventures of the Empire Princess quartet of epic adventure fantasy featuring an quest to restore a princess to her usurped throne (but may actually be a different setting which uses the same name for a similar forest kingdom). This sidequel provides an alternate take on events, as The Haven comes under attack, showing the viewpoint of one leader who must hold it together in the face of local political machinations, while the other quests for outside help.

Offered worldwide, available at Amazon.
